IRIS Audit Tools

The IRIS audit tools include a number of assessment devices to assist in the auditing of services for individuals with a first episode of psychosis.

The tools are not exhaustive nor should they serve as a "stand alone" procedure; but include a number of useful instruments to support an audit strategy linked to the IRIS guidelines and include:

  • Duration of untreated psychosis and pathways/obstacles to care

  • Engagement in services and use of the Mental Health Act

  • Treatment and care received

Some of the forms have been designed for use in interviews, whilst a quicker version utilises information in case notes. See under Questions and Answers for further information.
