Stop Press! NCAP results to be released 15th July

The long-awaited 2018/19 NCAP reports will be circulated from Monday viagra express delivery 15th July.  The NCAP audit evaluates the quality of services and brings together data about uk softabs cailis levitra waiting times, the delivery of NICE approved interventions and the collection of outcome data for every EIP team in England.

Teams are given an overall rating score from level 1 to level 4:

This year the NHS requires 25% of teams to reach level 3 and it looks like we are on target to achieve this.  Over the lifespan of the Five Year Forward programme (2016-21) 60% of EIP teams are, however, required to achieve viagra tab level 3 and this remains a challenging target.

IRIS has argued that a combination of factors – including funding models that have routed investment intended for EIP through CCG baselines, and a shift in emphasis away from ‘well-managed’ or ‘contextual’ characteristics towards a narrower set of clinical interventions for quality evaluation – has undermined progress.  We are concerned that many of the teams that will rate level 2 this year will not be able to progress to level 3 best price propecia without substantial investment and development support.

Helpfully, Claire Murdoch, national director of mental health, has recently reiterated the importance of contextual features – i.e. service design characteristics – to the achievement of the national objective:

Half way through the Five Year Forward programme we are at a critical juncture for the modernisation of EIP services.   Workforce investment is one of the biggest problems facing teams and we need to be mindful that the greatest part (60%) of the NHSE 5 yr funding for EIP will be allocated this autumn.  And, because the money will be in CCG baselines, it is imperative that we sustain all efforts to persuade local systems to invest properly in the development of these services to have a chance of achieving the 60% target.

But funding alone won’t deliver the required clinical quality. The new standard sets challenging targets for interventions that require  additional expertise, better pathways and new ways of working.  NHS England regional support is available and the IRIS network can provide resources and links to colleagues with expertise and experience to share.

So best wishes for the 15th July.  NCAP reports will be sent to the person who submitted the audit so if that wasn’t you, you may have to locate the appropriate person in your organisation.
